Meet the Teachers

Rainbow Experience Preschool has licensed teachers who work to ensure its curriculum aligns with the Baldwin Public School District USD 348. That alignment helps our students to be well-prepared for entering the public school system.

To assist in this process we utilize two of the same curriculums as the district: Animated Literacy and Handwriting Without Tears.

Ms Donna – Director

Hello!  My name is Donna Kneedler.  I began teaching at Rainbow Preschool as a lead teacher in the afternoon class. From the first day,  I enjoyed the warm and loving environment. The enthusiasm of both the staff and the children inspired me to become the director when the position became available.

I grew up in Baldwin City.  I met my future husband here in Jr. High!  After High School I majored in Child Psychology at Kansas University.  I then interned at United Child Development Center.  When Mike and I got married I shared my compassion for childrenwith him and he agreed to let me open a home daycare.  This would allow me to spend more time with my son Ryan and give me the opportunity to follow my dream.  I had a home daycare for 12 years.  When our younger two sons, A.J. and Luke went to Kindergarten I moved on to teach in early childhood education.

I’ve always loved children and found joy in the fact that I can make a difference in their lives.  I try to continually use my education and experience to help children not only learn, but create positive memories and experiences.  More importantly, I will love the children in my care, hug them, and listen to them.  I think that makes the biggest difference.

I now enjoy spending my spare time with my grandkids, Ruthie and Emmett!  I also love to swim, jet-ski, kayak, read, sew, and play in my flower gardens.  We are also big Chiefs fans and enjoy getting together with friends to watch their games.

Ms Dana – Lead Teacher

Hello! My name is Dana Clem. I live in Baldwin City with my husband John and our 3 children: Abby, Nathan, and Sydney. My husband’s job with Xerox is what brought us to Baldwin City from Wichita.

I started working for Rainbow Experience Preschool as an Assistant Teacher when my youngest child, Sydney, was finishing up Pre-K at Rainbow Preschool. I fell in love the kids, the preschool and Baldwin City. Who knew work could be so much fun? I am thrilled to be in my current position as Lead Teacher. I have a lot of great ideas to share!

I am working on my degree in Elementary Education and am a licensed preschool teacher in the state of Kansas. Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do, but I also like to run, swim, quilt, read, scrapbook, work outside at home and I am also a tri-athlete. I help with 2 girl scout troops, boy scouts, and teach Sunday School at church when needed as well has help with vacation bible school.

What do I love the most about teaching preschool? The kids. They are so much fun. I love to just watch them play, learn and grow. It is amazing to see how much the children progress in all areas of development by the end of the year. They are a true blessing!
